The fine print, in plain English
Privacy Policy
We treat your business information—and your subscribers’ information—with care, restraint, and common sense.
Effective July 27, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Affordable Email Marketing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit affordableemailmarketing.com, contact us, or engage us to provide email marketing services.
Our clients remain the owners and controllers of their subscriber lists. When we handle subscriber data to perform services for a client, we act only on that client’s instructions and use the data only to deliver the agreed services.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact information such as your name, business name, email address, and message.
- When you submit an inquiry, its landing page, referring site, and standard campaign parameters such as source, medium, and campaign name so we can understand how the inquiry reached us.
- Business information, brand assets, campaign goals, offers, and content supplied during onboarding and service delivery.
- Account access or technical details that you authorize us to use to configure or manage your email service provider.
- Billing and transaction records. Payment card information, if used, is processed by our payment provider and is not stored by us.
Information handled for clients
To provide email marketing services, we may process subscriber names, email addresses, consent records, engagement data, list segments, and other fields stored in a client’s email service provider. Clients must provide only contacts they have a lawful right to email.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and form provider, Netlify, may process standard server and submission records such as IP address, browser type, requested page, time of access, and spam-detection signals for security, operations, and delivery of an inquiry you submit.
Analytics and privacy choices
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, traffic sources, pricing interest, and completed inquiries. Analytics may use cookies or similar browser storage and may process device, browser, approximate location, page, referral, and interaction information. We do not send form names, email addresses, business names, or message contents to Google Analytics. Analytics storage is denied unless you choose to accept it, and you can change that choice using the “Privacy choices” control in the footer.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, provide and improve our services, create and send approved campaigns, configure email accounts and authentication, produce reports, process billing, maintain security, comply with law, and enforce our agreements. We do not sell personal information or subscriber lists.
4. How information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us operate, including Netlify for hosting and form delivery, Google for consent-based website analytics, our business email provider, a client’s chosen email service provider, and Stripe if payment is enabled. They receive only the information reasonably needed for their role and are expected to protect it. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer. We do not rent or trade client subscriber lists.
5. Subscriber data and email compliance
Clients are responsible for the lawful collection of subscriber data, maintaining adequate consent records, providing accurate sender information, and honoring unsubscribe and privacy requests. We support these obligations by using client-owned accounts, including required unsubscribe mechanisms, and following the client’s documented instructions. We will not knowingly send to purchased, scraped, or unlawfully obtained lists.
6. Retention and security
We retain business and service information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including limited-access accounts and secure credential-sharing practices. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
At the end of a client relationship, access to client systems will be removed. We will delete or return client-provided subscriber exports upon reasonable request, unless retention is required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing or request a portable copy. To make a request, contact us at the address below. If your request concerns an email sent by one of our clients, please contact that business directly or use the unsubscribe link in its email.
8. International processing and children
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ. We take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate protections. Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
